What makes an extract live resin?
The starting material. Live resin is made from plants that were flash frozen at harvest instead of dried and cured, then extracted cold with a hydrocarbon solvent. Freezing preserves the volatile terpenes that normally evaporate during drying, so the finished extract tastes and smells much closer to the living plant than a cured extract does.
Live resin or cured resin: what is the difference?
Cured resin is extracted from dried, cured flower, the same material that would otherwise be sold as buds. How should I store live resin?
Cold, dark, and sealed. Terpenes are volatile and heat is what drives them off, so a concentrate left on a sunny table loses character within days.
